Building Your Practice?

“The more skilled in marketing the local population of therapists is, then the more seriously they get taken by the general public. It is my ambition that the general public takes what we offer VERY seriously and the best way I believe I can do that, is by helping other therapists market themselves more effectively.”

Cathy Towers, Clinic founder and trainer in Successful Private Practice

Free Help

Exeter Mind and Body Clinic is committed to helping you grow your therapy practice.  We host a group on LinkedIn (an on-line professional network community) which provides opportunities to share ideas, as well as being a route for clients to find your contact details on the web. And it’s completely free!

Our group is called Successful Private Practice SW UK.  Any therapist (or therapist in training) is welcome to join and ask for help in the discussion section.  Any therapist can respond to the questions posted.  This is a great way for us all to all learn from our collective experience. It helps us enhance our professionalism and to spread the word about what we do. We believe that sharing experience and knowledge is good for all therapists and for the people needing our help.

Talks and Courses

I am Cathy Towers, the clinic's founder.  I started running workshops in 2007 to support therapists wanting to start a private practice or expand and improve an existing one.

Three times a year I run talks and courses on Successful Private Practice, meeting once a month over a six month period (with homework and sharing of useful articles), so skills and confidence have a chance to grow.  As a therapist you may struggle to see yourself as a business or lack the confidence to promote yourself. If so, this course is for you. It aims to improve your ability to work as a business but without losing your soul.  This is the part most training schools forget about!
